Hi! My name is Denise Webster. Many changes have happened in my life in the last 3 years – from deep despair and pain to one of peace and prosperity – but I have found a better way of life. Let me share with you how I have found peace in my heart and money in my pocketbook – how I found my abundance in life.
Have you ever had a struggle so difficult that you thought you couldn’t bear it or ever get through it?
I have. A few years ago, I went through a difficult challenge in our family. It was something that I never thought I would nor should ever have to go through. My heart was heavy and the burden great. It was hard not to feel depressed and discouraged. I was feeling a lot of self pity wondering why I had to deal with this particular problem. My statement was “we solve a crisis with another crisis.”
But how can I change it?
Deep down I knew that I had to think differently, but I just didn’t know how. I read the scriptures and I prayed so fervently. I pleaded for help. It was at this time, that my husband and I felt a prompting that we needed to move and move quickly. We didn’t understand the entire reason behind it. We were happy in our home and had not planned to go anywhere, but we knew we needed to listen. It was then things began to change.
I had some messed up thinking about money!
As we moved and began to build our new home, we were introduced to a group that taught financial strategies and investing tips. We began meeting with them and began to learn that the way we thought about money was all wrong. I realized that I had some messed up thinking about money. I lived in scarcity thinking that there was just not enough to go around; that if someone had a lot of money, then there just wasn’t enough for me; that if I was rich, I couldn’t get into Heaven. All of this “wrong thinking” was beginning to be dispelled through scripture and new insights and reading.
It can all be changed with ONE THOUGHT!
Then one day in our financial meetings, we were told to watch the movie, “The Secret.” That is when the real change began. As we watched the movie, we really began to understand that what we were thinking about money, life, and relationships was all wrong. One quote in the movie hit me very powerfully. “No matter what has happened in your life, it can all be changed with ONE THOUGHT!” That was the answer—to quit looking backwards and to begin thinking differently. I needed to control my thoughts.
A seed was planted…I found Hope.
From the beginnings of that movie, a seed was planted and I was lead to a book called, “The Jackrabbit Factor” by Leslie Householder (you can get a free copy of “The Jackrabbit Factor” e-book by going to www.jackrabbitfactor.com). I was craving more knowledge and understanding, so I read her other book, “Hidden Treasures.” I began learning the Laws—God’s Law’s, Universal Laws that govern our life whether we know it or not. As I began applying these laws and gaining knowledge, my life began to change. My family changed, my relationship with my husband changed, our financial situation changed, but mostly my heart changed. I found peace. I found prosperity. I found hope.
“You Have To Move—NOW!”
Those were the words that the Lord prompted us with. I didn’t know how we were going to do it, but I knew it was the right thing to do. Oddly enough, even though I didn’t know the “laws,” they were still working in my life. The home we lived in was a comfortable 3,400 sq ft house. It had a full basement and an above ground pool in the yard. We had just redone the yard and were in the process of a huge remodel when we were told to move. I hadn’t even thought about a new home or a plan or the like. I never dared dream for something that I wasn’t going to have, so I never visualized a “dream home.”

As we began to have to dream again and design floor plans, I could visualize what I wanted. I was “determined” to get the house I was dreaming of. It was much larger than my husband wanted. With only 3 years left to pay off the home we were living in, he just didn’t want another mortgage. But I knew what we were supposed to build and somehow knew there would be a way to do it. The results were a beautiful new 5,500 sq ft home that is almost everything I wanted.
I was using the Laws without realizing it.
As I began learning these laws, I realized that I had used these laws in the process of designing and building our home. These laws had also come to play in how quickly we sold our home and how the Lord truly stepped in when we had done all we could. He sent a buyer to our home on the very day I told him, “We’ve done all we can and we need to know what to do. We need the right people to buy this home. We need your help.” I know firsthand the power of prayer and how the laws work in your behalf when you believe the Lord will answer them.
